Spring Foal Crop by Tammy Bality
14″ x 13″ – Bronze, Edition 15. The Bronze is a ring that can be placed over a flower bowl or vase as a center piece or shown by itself in the round. I was inspired to create the mares and foals in the round from paintings by George Stubbs of mares and foals as well as photos of a colorful herd of horses owned by Shield H Quarter Horses in Riverton, Wyoming. Spring is the time of the year that new foals begin to appear like new buds on vines. The bottom of the bowl is covered in vines and flowers.
