Ryan Brown brings his newest artwork to Beartooth Gallery
Ryan’s work is fueled by Montana and our own subconscious. He uses colors found in the natural world and melds it with a surreal concept. The result is often a dreamlike quality to his original art. The subject is always in a tranquil state, unaffected by its surroundings. The sole objective for Ryan’s work is to open a passage way to another world that will put the audience in a peaceful-zen like state of mind.
Ryan’s work has always had an abstract core while experimenting with other forms and figures to develop his own style. Among the artist that have inspired him are Jackson Pollock, Russell Chatham, and Theodore Waddell to name a few. Environments, personalities, trends, and nature drive the message and feeling of his work.
Ryan Brown has lived in Billings for over 20 years and has been interested in art and architecture from a very young age. He graduated from Skyview High School and has attended MSU Billings.
