Montana Artist Ron Ukrainetz
“I feel very fortunate to have been born here in Montana. I grew up around a huge variety of nature, people, artist, and events, all of which has helped to shape my artwork in some fashion. From the early years of bringing home all sorts of small animals to building modified stock cars, to carpentry and love of history, I’ve managed a well rounded cache of experiences to enhance my work.

Ron works in several media including engraving on Claybord )commonly misnamed scratchboard), then glazing those engravings with acrylics. In addition, Ron works extensively in oil, both plein air and in the studio. His historical oils of the Lewis and Clark ears are rapidly gaining acclaim, and the demand for his historical knowledge on that great epic journey is tapped by fellow artists, as well as scholars.
